I think we need to understand as the workforce changes. What do our workers want? Is it the same? It probably isn’t. I think it changes.
I joined Trisura about six years ago and once we came in, I really came in to head up the HR group and I wanted to do a measurement of what our engagement was. So, I started doing some searching, did some asking around and actually got a referral to TalentMap.

We don’t have a lot of people that leave, but we have added a lot of staff. We want to know if there’s any other information that can help us to be a better company. We’ve won a number of best employer awards. We want to maintain that.
One thing I liked about the results as well, they weren’t just the numbers. We actually were able to get the verbatim comments, so we were able to dig down and get some rich information while maintaining confidentiality for employees – that was the utmost. And that’s the kind of firm we are as well – integrity, honesty, and confidentiality is absolutely critical.

I think that the service that you get, the flexibility, the professionalism is absolutely astounding. I don’t think I’ve experienced that, to be honest, in all the years I’ve worked in HR.
