  • Torrance Wylie

Sean Fitzpatrick, MBA


Sean Fitzpatrick is President and founder of TalentMap. Sean has garnered a wealth of experience developing and implementing employee and customer measurement systems. Over the past few years, Sean has worked with firms such as Research In Motion, Open Text, Akamai, Alias and Tundra in the technology sector, HSBC, Chase Manhattan and Royal Bank in the financial services industry. In addition, Talentmap's work has recently expanded to include a number of hospitals and health centres across the country. Previously, Sean was Vice President of Internet Services at an established survey research firm and he worked for a number of years as a management consultant implementing operational improvements in the energy sector.

In addition to growing and developing TalentMap, Sean sits on the board of directors for the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance). CATA is Canada's leading and most influential entrepreneurial technology alliance. Sean has also authored a number of articles on measurement in the workplace and he enjoys presenting on the topic.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

On the occasions when he is not at work, Sean enjoys reading and expanding his knowledge on various business topics, skiing and spending time with his family.

Denzil Doyle, PhD


Denzil Doyle's career in Canada's high technology industry has included research and development, sales and marketing, corporate management, and venture capital investing. He was the founding president of Digital Equipment Corporation's Canadian subsidiary and during the eighteen years that he directed it, it evolved into a multi-faceted company with annual sales in excess of $160 million. He has been involved in the startup and development of several firms and has advised governments at all three levels on technology-related and economic development strategies. In 1982, he also co-founded Instantel Inc., an Ottawa-based supplier of electronic instrumentation.

From 1995 to 2005, as Chairman of Capital Alliance Ventures Inc., an Ottawa-based high-tech venture capital firm, he led investments in technology companies in Ottawa and elsewhere in Ontario.

He has served on the boards of directors of several companies. These include: Mobile Data International, CAL Corporation, Nuvotech, Instantel Inc., Mitel Corporation, Leigh Instruments, Newbridge Networks, Gennum Corporation, West End Systems, Med-Eng Systems, Fred Systems, PixeLINK, Consultronics, International Datacasting Corporation, IS2 Medical Systems, LNS Systems, GEAC Computer, Active Systems Inc., Pricedex Software, Advanced Systems Integrations, Kaval Telecom, Cadabra Design Libraries Ltd., Comdale Technologies, Documented Circuits, Rockcliffe Research, BTI Bubble Technologies, Anomira Software, Talentmap, and others.

In recognition of his pioneering efforts in the development of the Ottawa-Gatineau high technology community, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Carleton University at its 1981 spring convocation. In 2001, he was granted a fellowship in the Engineering Institute of Canada. In 2002, at NRC's Regional Innovation Awards, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for Innovation. In recognition of his activities in technology commercialization and economic development nationally, we was invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2005.

Torrance Wylie


Torrance Wylie, Vice Chairman of Global Public Affairs, is one of Canada’s most respected strategic advisors. Early in his career, Torrance worked as an executive assistant to two prime ministers and has since been active in the Canadian business, political and government communities in senior capacities. At CN, as a consultant and as Senior Vice President, Torrance participated in the privatization of the railway and in its subsequent acquisitions and strategic initiatives to expand the reach of the system and strengthen its overall performance.

Previously, as Executive Vice President of Imasco Limited, Torrance cemented a reputation for a high level of integrity and a results-oriented business perspective. Torrance’s experience in public affairs consulting is also extensive, having been chairman and president of two of Canada’s largest firms and an advisor on several of Canada’s largest and most significant mergers and acquisitions. This experience will assist Global in continuing to provide innovative and effective client solutions. Torrance holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy as well as two years of post-graduate studies in Political Science and History.
DIRECTORS

Kimberly Parker, CMA


Kimberley has over 15 years’ experience in customer and employee research and client management. She has worked with clients in a variety of areas including high-tech, financial institutions, retail & restaurant chains and consulting companies across the US and Canada. With her industry experience, research practice and management background, she plays an integral role in understanding the client needs and developing research methodology, reporting and action planning tools that are easily deployed by our clients.

Kimberley is a designated accountant with over 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience within the technologies and services industry focusing on management reporting, financial statement preparation and analysis, cashflow management, internal audit, cost accounting, budgeting & forecasting and reporting to a Board of Directors.

Kimberly received her Bachelor's of Commerce from Ottawa University and continued on to become a Certified Managerial Accountant.

She lives in Ottawa where she is a proud mother of three and enjoys various outdoor activities including golf, running, swimming and cycling.

Sue-Anne Poutanen


As Director of Client Services, Sue-Anne is responsible for hiring, training, coaching and managing all new and experienced project managers, reporting analysts and survey programmers. As an integral part of the executive team, Sue-Anne leads TalentMap’s Client Services group and is responsible for the overall successful execution of all client projects. In addition, Sue-Anne champions a range of process and operation improvements within TalentMap.

She led the introduction of TalentMap’s proprietary reporting technology and more recently its quality assurance system. Based on Sue-Anne’s detailed knowledge of back office systems and technology, she becomes the go-to person to guide and consult on the implementation of some of TalentMap’s largest and most complex client projects.

Recently, Sue-Anne worked directly with Canada Post’s management and largest union (CUPE) to support one of their most complex survey initiatives. She oversaw the successful deployment of their survey into multiple languages and deployed multi-modal surveys (online and paper) to over 50,000 employees in hundreds of locations, while managing the design, creation and delivery of hundreds of final reports. Previous to TalentMap, Sue-Anne managed an Early Childhood Education Center in Blackburn Hamlet.

Sue-Anne holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Sociology (Focus on Statistical Analysis) from Carleton University.

Sue-Anne enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her son's hockey and her daughter's ringette careers as well as getting out to her cottage for warm summer days.

Vivian Castilla, MSc


As Director of Software Development and part of the executive team, Vivian is responsible for the software development and the introduction of new technologies. In addition, she leads the IT group which provides technical support to the Client Services team on the implementation of client projects. Over the last 5 years with TalentMap, she has developed multiple web applications that facilitate survey deployment, analysis and reporting. Recently, she designed an Enterprise Feedback Management System that integrates all current applications, and manages a team of developers that work on this project.

With over 25 years of Software Development, Vivian has developed leading-edge business solutions applied to Human Resources, Economics and Statistics, Business Administration, Health Care and Nuclear Researchs. She has leaded complex and time critical projects providing distinctive leadership and balance between management and technology. She has worked for many organizations in the technology sector in Cuba, Spain, Argentina, Peru, including Thales, SGO Software, GMS. She has specialized in Database Management Systems and has worked as database consultant for the United Nations Development Program in Peru and Cuba.

Vivian holds a Masters degree in Engineering, specializing in Computer Systems Engineering from L’vov Superior Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine.

She lives in Ottawa with her husband, daughter and son. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, expanding her knowledge, swimming and gardening.

Monica Helgoth, LLB


Monica Helgoth is an experienced business development professional with expertise within all orders of government, as well as multiple industry sectors including financial services, engineering and technology, industrial/manufacturing and oil & gas. Over the past 4 years, she has worked with a variety of Western-based clients ranging in size from 100 – 100,000 plus employees. Some of Monica’s clients include Canadian Direct Insurance, Trinidad Drilling, Alberta Health Services, Fountain Tire, Government of Saskatchewan, & Winnipeg Airport Authority.

Monica is keenly interested in the way organizations operate and is passionate about helping her clients improve the workplace. Having lived and worked in Western Canada for many years, Monica is acutely aware of the unique business challenges and opportunities within this dynamic market.

Ms. Helgoth holds an Honours, Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Alberta, with majors in Political Science and Economics, a law degree from the University of Ottawa, and a Professional Certification in Public Sector Marketing from Sprott School of Business, University of Carleton.

Monica lives in the Edmonton area with her Husband, son and 2 dogs. When not working, she enjoys travelling and is always looking for opportunities to capture the beauty and intrigue of the Canadian West on camera.

Ryan Ballingall


Ryan Ballingall has worked in the field of Sales and Business Development for the past 3 years. In addition to his experience as an Account Executive, he has a strong Entrepreneurial background as he created, developed and ran his own successful company in a highly competitive marketplace. He has over 3 years of experience developing and maintaining strong B2B relationships.

Ryan is the newest addition to the TalentMap sales team. He is working on building a strong core of clients in order to advise them on the various TalentMap products and services that would best suit their particular needs.

Ryan has two Bachelor of Arts Honours degrees from Carleton University in Geography and Psychology. He also spent a year studying abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Ryan lives in Ottawa and enjoys hiking, skiing, baseball, hockey and golf.

Bonnie Lynch


Bonnie Lynch is a dynamic sales, marketing, and business professional with 18 successful years across the Corporate IT, Retail, Education, and Non-Profit sectors. Bonnie has special expertise in account and program management, partner & relationship development, training & seminar execution, as well as marketing & cross-functional liaising.

Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology & Psychology at Carleton University. Over the years, she has received numerous commendations and professional awards, including The President’s Rock Award for Outstanding Achievement – Corel’s highest honor, and Best Workshop at a National sales and technology showcase.

Bonnie lives in Ottawa. She is an avid traveler taking her to places such as Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, and India. For fun, she enjoys Wing Chun Kung Fu, costume design for the Ottawa Little Theater, photography and learning the art of digital music performance and production.

Marc Villeneuve


Marc Villeneuve brings with him a background of 10 years of Sales Management experience spending 7 years in the financial industry and the last 2 plus years in the B2B world. During this time it has allowed him to hone his leadership and sales skills.

Working in the B2B field gave Marc the opportunity to branch out and not only manage a Sales team but also take on more of a client management role working with several fortune 500 companies. Marc gained invaluable management skills in managing client expectations and delivering upon mutually agreed initiatives to create a win, win for all stakeholders.

Marc attended Algonquin college for Television Broadcasting.

Marc lives in Ottawa and travels as much as possible, while in Ottawa Marc is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with family.
PROJECT MANAGERS

Liz Felso-Hébert


Liz Felso-Hébert is an accomplished manager with over 10 years of project and product coordination experience.

Over her career, Liz has worked for a variety of organizations including Ogilvy Renault, Nortel Networks and The Alliance of Sector Council performing mostly coordination, management and most recently being an Administrative Director.

Liz has repeatedly demonstrated that she is a reliable, focused, driven and diligent problem-solver at all levels of the project phases. Her calm demeanor, sincerity and positive attitude help her colleagues perform and allow her to focus on getting the job done. She works well in a team, is forward thinking and maintains a high attention to detail.

She holds a Business degree from Carleton University and is currently completing a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from Algonquin College.

Liz lives in Kanata and enjoys learning new skills, staying fit and spending quality time with her husband and their son.

Kelly MacCallum


Kelly MacCallum is a Project Manager with extensive experience in process improvement, internal communications and employee engagement and retention programs.

Over the past 20 years, Kelly has worked for high profile organizations such as The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, SHL Systemhouse, QNX Software Systems, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Trow Engineering,and Mattamy Homes in various capacities including Executive level support, and Internal Communications management.

Kelly has demonstrated experience in equipping a leadership team to be organized, focused and effective in order to affect positive change in the work environment. She is a team player who exhibits strong initiative, great attention to detail and a positive attitude.

She holds a Business Administration Diploma specializing in Marketing Communications from Algonquin College.

Kelly lives in Kanata with her husband and daughter. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, cooking and supporting her daughter’s commitment to competitive dance.

Vicki Price


Vicki Price is a Project Manager with experience in communications, marketing and event planning. Over her career Vicki has worked for a variety of organizations including Orezone Gold Resources, The Ottawa Home Show and Marketwire. These positions have provided her with extensive experience in Customer Service and Account Management.

Vicki holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Carleton University.

In her spare time Vicki enjoys finding new adventures for her family, including zip lining, white water rafting and theme parks. Vicki lives in Stittsville with her husband, sons, dog, cat and hamster.

Angela Walter


Angela Walter is a project manager with over 12 years’ experience in market research, survey process and data analysis with Statistics Canada.

Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Sociology from Carleton University.

Angela lives in Ottawa with her two children. In her spare time, Angela is Certified Personal Trainer and marathon runner.

Linda Clements


Linda Clements is an Executive Assistant with a broad range of experience behind her. Her exceptional attention to detail, insight, vast knowledge with various computer programs, as well as her ability to manage multiple priorities and projects for multiple people makes her a strong asset to TalentMap.

Linda, has worked for a variety of high profile organizations including Bell Canada, Cognos and AutoSkill. She has performed mostly project management and executive assistant roles.

She has a Diploma in Business Administration from Guelph University and has developed and trained continuously through her various positions.

When she is not at the office, she enjoys, skiing, volunteering, reading and gardening. Linda lives in North Gower with her husband and has a son.

Shella Mithani, MBA


Shella has over 8 years’ of experience in marketing, product management, brand management, communications, strategic planning and has worked for various multi-national companies. She has worked for world class brands and has hands-on experience in consumer research, planning, pricing strategies, marketing strategies, managing agency relationships and translating consumer/client understanding into development and execution of world class brand plans for key categories.

Shella has leadership skills where she has managed and developed assistant brand managers and management trainees under her supervision. As an Assistant District Commissioner of Pakistan Girl Guides Association, she has traveled extensively to countries like UK, Japan, China and India.

Shella holds bachelors in Commerce, Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing and Human Resources & Masters in Public and International Affairs from University of Ottawa.

She lives in Ottawa Ontario and loves travelling, cooking, staying fit, spending time with her family and is an active volunteer at different NGOs like Aga Khan Development Network Canada, FOCUS Humanitarian and Canadian Red Cross.
TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND REPORTING

Antonio Vega


Antonio is responsible for the production’s network administration and database administration. In addition, he is part of the development team. Over the last 3 years with TalentMap, he has built web sites to implement custom survey processes and has provided technical support to the Client Services team on the day-to-day operations. Also, he does part of the survey programming.

Antonio has over 25 years of experience in systems administration, including installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and providing technical support with hardware, software, peripherals and networks, migrations, and security and database applications. With over 8 years of Software Development in the areas of Health Care and Communications. He has worked for many organizations in Cuba, including the Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Health, DHL. He has worked as consultant for UNDP in Peru.

Antonio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cybernetics-Mathematics from the University of Havana.

Todd Armstrong


Todd is a research professional with expertise in the fields of organizational communication, and human resources analytics. Over the past five years, he has done research with organizations in both the public and private sectors. Some typical clients include The Canadian Medical Association, MD Physician Services, and The University of Ottawa.

A professor of marketing research at Algonquin College, Todd has had research material published in academic journals. Todd brings a unique mix of skills to TalentMap and is well-versed in quantitative and statistical research methods that are frequently applied in survey research. Combined, these characteristics make Todd an ideal individual to turn research and insight into real value for our clients.

He has a Masters degree in Organizational Communication from The University of Ottawa. He is a member of the MRIA (Marketing Research and Intelligence Association), and sits on the advisory committee for the Marketing and Business Intelligence Research program at Algonquin College’s School of Business.

Todd lives with his partner in the greater Ottawa area. When not working, Todd is an avid gamer, enjoys biking, and loves to play music.

Basem Abouelenein


Basem is a research professional with expertise in the fields of Marketing and human resources analytics. He has been both behind the scenes and on the ground and understands the complexities of data management and analysis.

Basem has been a part of the TalentMap team for almost 6 years and has touched on multiple roles. Currently, he is focused on data analysis, which lines up perfectly with his previous experience, training and education. He has worked on clients ranging from 100 employees up to over 10000.

Basem has a Masters degree in Marketing Research.

When not at work, Basem is an avid soccer player and restaurant goer and is very close to his family.
